SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  No comparisons available due to 
limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs
150.00-169.00, 500-600 lbs 130.00-144.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1-2 400-500 lbs 142.00-165.00, 500-600 lbs 128.00-144.00.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 120.00-135.00, 500-600 lbs 
120.00-129.00.  Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 64.00-78.00; Boners 
85-85% lean 61.00-78.00; Lean 85-90% lean 54.00-67.00; Lean low dressing 
40.00-47.50.  Slaughter Bulls: Average Dressing 1250-2295 lbs 83.00-
99.00; High Dressing 1940 lbs one @ 106.00; Low Dressing 1055-1640 lbs

   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 775-1370 lbs Young to Middle age 
cows with calves under 300 lbs 750.00-1400.00 per pair.  Medium and Large 
1-2 935-1255 lbs Young Age Cows with calves over 300 lbs 1135.00-1475.00 
per pair.  Small 1-2 795 lbs Young Age Cows with calves over 300 lbs 
1150.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 535-800 lbs Middle Age Cows with calves 
under 300 lbs 440.00-710.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs prices was not reported due 
to confidentiality.  Sows live price 300-450 lbs 67.55; 450-500 lbs 
71.80; 500-550 lbs 75.12.   
   SC Grain on Monday: Corn was 7 to 13 cents higher; elevator bids 5.18, 
processor bids 6.40-6.55.  Soybeans were 21 to 25 cents higher; 
elevator bids 13.94, processor bid 14.42, and export 14.47.  New 
crop wheat bids were mostly 13 cents higher; elevator bids 6.15-6.20.
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.58 
lower at 89.24.
